- In an emergency, open the Thiba-Ingozi app and press the panic button. The app will automatically send a notification to users within your set radius, along with your location. If you purchased the panic button remote, you could press the button, and the app will still send a notification to users within your prescribed radius without you opening the app.
- After pressing the panic button, move to a safe location if possible and wait for assistance. Do not attempt to confront the danger unless it is safe to do so. If you pressed the panic button while in danger, the assistance may still come from users who received the notification.
- If you receive an alert, assess the situation from a safe distance if possible. Contact emergency services and provide them with the details of the emergency/alert. Only approach the situation if you are trained and it is safe to do so. Do not attempt to confront the danger unless it is safe to do so.
- Encourage friends and family to download the app and set their notification preferences. Participate in community safety initiatives and stay informed about local safety issues.
- Thiba-Ingozi uses advanced encryption and security protocols to protect your personal information. Your data is only used for the purpose of providing safety alerts and is not shared with third parties without your consent.
