Link Trip is a feature designed for eHailing services (like ride-hailing apps) that enhances safety for both drivers and passengers. By scanning a QR code to “link” a trip, both parties (driver and passenger) can verify each other and link their trip before starting the journey. If there’s an emergency, nearby users are instantly alerted and can provide assistance. The feature also enables live tracking of the trip upon an alert, allowing trusted contacts and nearby users to monitor and trace the ride in real-time. The information of the Driver and Passenger will be shared with the nearby users for identification purposes. Users will be able to see that the alert originates from a linked trip and identify whether the driver or the passenger is in danger.

When starting a ride/trip, use the ‘Link Trip’ feature with a QR code that both the driver and the passenger can scan, linking their profiles for the duration of the trip. This confirms your trip is officially linked. From there, real-time tracking and safety alerts become active.

No. Link Trip only makes critical information (such as the driver’s name, passenger’s name, respective images for identification, and vehicle details, etc) visible to designated emergency contacts and nearby users if an emergency is triggered. Your location is only shared in real-time with individuals you trust and with other APP users in the immediate area as per your radius settings if you request help.

Security personnel are dispatched directly to your location based on the GPS data provided by the app, ensuring quick and efficient intervention.
